Komodo Diving Day Trip

Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site sitting right in the middle of the Coral Triangle, the most biodiverse marine region on the planet. That’s what the internet says and the internet NEVER lies.

It’s also home to the Komodo dragon, the world’s largest lizard, which you may or may not see depending on how brave you’re feeling on land. I personally think they are dinosaurs and try to stay as far away as possible.

Underwater in Komodo is a completely different story. The currents that run between the Indian and Pacific Oceans pump nutrients through the park and bring in an insane amount of marine life. We’re talking manta rays, reef sharks, giant trevally, schools of fish so thick they block out the light, and some of the healthiest coral reefs you’ll ever see. Sites like Batu Bolong are regularly listed among the best dive sites in the world, not by us, by basically everyone who’s ever been there.

Komodo day trips out of Labuan Bajo every single day on a big comfortable dive boat. There’s shaded areas to relax, bean bags on the sun deck if you’d rather bake between dives, tables for clicking away on your laptop or grabbing a bite to eat, and coffee, tea, water available all day. The bottom floor is a dedicated dive deck so the whole operation runs smoothly. No chaos, no cramped spaces.

You’ll do 3 dives across the day hitting the best sites available. The route always follows the conditions and the most rewarding spots the park has to offer. Breakfast and lunch are served on board and there are snack breaks between dives to keep the energy up.

The day trip is open to certified divers of all levels. If you’re not certified yet, you can also join as part of the second day of your Open Water Course or as a Try Scuba Discovery Day

By mid-afternoon you’re back in Labuan Bajo, tired in the best possible way.
